The Process
Every project begins with understanding the people behind it. Before lines are drawn or plans are developed, I take the time to learn how you live, what you’re drawn to, and what you want your home to feel like. Whether you’re building new, planning an addition, or reworking an existing space, the goal is always the same: to create a home that feels personal, functional, and thoughtfully designed from the start

It starts With You
No two clients approach a project the same way. Some come in with a clear vision, while others are looking for guidance in shaping one. My process is built around both. It starts with listening — understanding your goals, your style, your priorities, and the way you want to live in the space.

Vision & Direction
Once the foundation is in place, ideas begin to take shape. This stage is about turning inspiration, needs, and possibilities into a clear design direction. Some projects call for refining a strong client-led vision, while others require a more hands-on creative lead. Either way, the design is always developed with purpose and shaped around the people it is for.
Designing for Real Life
A well-designed home should do more than look good on paper. It should support everyday living in a way that feels natural, comfortable, and intuitive. I approach each project with a strong focus on layout, flow, function, and how the home will be experienced day to day by the people living in it.

Style, Setting & Character
Every home should feel authentic — not only to the client, but also to its setting. I do not believe in forcing one signature style onto every project. Whether the design is modern, traditional, farmhouse, Colonial, or something in between, the goal is to create a home with character that feels appropriate to both its surroundings and the life happening inside it.
Details Matter
Details are where a design truly comes to life. My background in millwork design shaped the way I think about proportion, trim, built-ins, and the smaller elements that bring depth and personality to a home. From the overall composition down to the finer points, I believe thoughtful detailing is what gives a project cohesion, character, and lasting quality.

Refinement & Collaboration
Good design is a collaborative process. As plans develop, I work through adjustments and refinements to make sure the design is not only visually strong, but also practical and aligned with your goals. Some clients want to be deeply involved in every decision, while others prefer more guidance. My role is to adapt to that process and help move the project forward with clarity.
Plans Ready for Construction
The final step is turning the design into a complete construction-ready plan set. These plans are developed to communicate the design clearly and help move the project from concept to construction with confidence. The goal is always to provide a strong, well-considered foundation for bringing the home to life.
